Sakuya Is not Lunarian; In Silent Sinner in Blue and Cage in Lunatic Runagate, she is not worried about anyone on the moon recognizing her. Rather, she is a descendant or embodiment of the Goddess Konohana-Sakuya (due to their shared name), sent to watch over gensokyo. This could also somewhat explain her Time/Space powers, and When Eirin recognized Sakuya in Imperishable night, It could be that Sakuya inherited Immortality from konohana-sakuya, and Eirin and Sakuya, in their thousands of years alive, crossed paths at some point.

The youkai of Gensokyo actually look like their original, monsterous forms to ordinary humans to terrify them.
Only humans with special abilities and fellow youkai see them with human-like charactersitics.

I personally think that Tewi has a bit of a southern accent. I have no idea why but it seems to fit. However I think we can mostly agree that Yamame would no doubt be a southern belle.
